Garrison School History

me!

The Garrison Union Free School District in Garrison, New York, on the Hudson River, is a one-school, kindergarten through eighth grade, New York public school district. It was first founded in 1783. During the 2008-2009 school year, the District celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the building of the historic stone School House that still is the heart of the Garrison School today.

Please visit the very first posts below for links to the Garrison Union Free School District Web site, the alumni/ae Web site, Garrison Graduates, and written accounts of the history of the District and its buildings. The Garrison Graduates site has many newer photos of classrooms and school activities.
